ACCEPTING A PLAT OF DEDICATION FOR STREET PURPOSES
(Lovell Road) ilt,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that it hereby accepts a certain plat of dedication prepared by John D. Rebik, an Illinois
Land Surveyor, and dated October 24, 1988, for a public street for the property legally
described as follows:
t That part of Section 20, Township 41 North, Range 9 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at a point in
the centerline of U.S. Route 20 where the East line of the West I/2 of the
Southwest I/4 of said Section 20 crosses said center line; thence South-
easterly, along said center line, 52.40 feet to the Easterly line of a tract of
land conveyed to Public Service Company of Northern Illinois (now
Commonwealth Edison Company) by Document No. 9542306; thence
Northerly, along said Easterly line, 114.22 feet to an angle point in said
Easterly line; thence Northeasterly, along said Easterly line, 76.81 feet to
the Northerly line of a tract of land dedicated for highway purposes by
Document No. 17993033; thence Southeasterly, along said Northerly line,
41.55 feet to a line 40.0 feet Easterly of (measured at right angles thereto)
and parallel with the Easterly line of lands conveyed by Document No.
9542306; thence Northerly along said parallel line, 219.13 feet to the point
- of beginning of the parcel to be described; thence continuing Northerly,
along said parallel line, 95.87 feet; thence South 53°-48'-38" East, 304.41
feet to a point of curvature; thence Southeasterly along a curved line,
being the arc of a circle convex Northeasterly, tangent to the last
described course and having a radius of 341.00 feet, an arc distance of
311.66 feet to a point in the Northerly line of lands dedicated for highway
purposes by Document No. 17993033, aforementioned; thence North-
westerly, along said Northerly line, 86.69 feet to a point on a curved line;
thence Northwesterly along a curved line, being the arc of a circle convex
Northeasterly and having a radius of 261.00 feet, an arc distance of 209.32
feet (the chord of which arc bears North 300-50'-05" West and measures
203.76 feet), to a point of tangency; thence North 53°-48'-38" West,
tangent to the last described curved line, 251.88 to the point of beginning,
containing 0.9892 acres, in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and
directed to cause said plat of dedication to be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois.
