RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING A PLAT OF DEDICATION
(West Highland Avenue)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that it hereby accepts a certain plat of dedication prepared by John T. Burnidge, an
Illinois Land Surveyor, and dated April 15, 1988, for a public street for the property
legally described as follows:
That part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 16, Township 41 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Northeast quarter; thence
North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West, along the North line of said
Northeast quarter, a distance of 762.27 feet to the Northwest corner of
Sandy Creek Condominium; thence South 01 degree 31 minutes 00 seconds
West, along a west line of said Sandy Creek Condominium, a distance of
250.18 feet; thence North 88 degrees 29 minutes 00 seconds West, along a
North line of said Sandy Creek Condominium, a distance of 68.70 feet;
thence South 01 degree 31 minutes 00 seconds West, along a west line of
said Sandy Creek Condominium, a distance of 145.00 feet; thence South 26
degrees 48 minutes 51 seconds West, along a westerly line of said Sandy
Creek Condominium, a distance of 100.00 feet; thence North 78 degrees 04
minutes 00 seconds West, along a northerly line of said Sandy Creek
Condominium, a distance of 50.00 feet; thence South 11 degrees 56 minutes
00 seconds West, along a westerly line of said Sandy Creek Condominium, a
distance of 234.67 feet (record being 235.00 feet) to the center line of
Highland Avenue Road for the point of beginning, being the Southwest
corner of said Sandy Creek Condominium; thence North 78 degrees 03
minutes 30 seconds West, along the said center line, a distance of 129.57
feet to a monumented line; thence North 10 degrees 21 minutes 04 seconds
East, along said monumented line, a distance of 40.01 feet; thence South 78
degrees 03 minutes 30 seconds East, parallel with the said center line of
Highland Avenue Road, a distance of 130.67 feet to the westerly line of
said Sandy Creek Condominium; thence South II degrees 56 minutes 00
seconds West, along said westerly line, a distance of 40.00 feet to the point
of beginning. Being situated in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois, and
containing 0.11 acre more or less.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and
directed to cause said plat of dedication to be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Kane
County, Illinois.
