RESOLUTION
APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 IN THE CONTRACT WITH
ALLIANCE CONTRACTORS, INC. FOR NATIONAL STREET STREETSCAPE, PHASE I
WHEREAS, the City of Elgin has heretofore entered into a contract with Alliance
Contractors, Inc. for National Street Streetscape, Phase I; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to modify the terms of the contract as is
described in Change Order No. 2, attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that Robert O. MaIm, Acting City Manager, be and is hereby
authorized and directed to execute Change Order No. 2, a copy of which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

CHANGE ORDER NO. 2
SCOPE. This Change Order No.2 covers an addition to the contract for National
Street Streetscape, Phase I, with Alliance Contractors, Inc. 1166
Lake Avenue, Woodstock, IL 60098
Item 1 . Installation of 228 Lineal Feet (L.F. ) 13/4 inch
Galvanized Steel Conduit in Trench including
labor and material .
Item 2. Installation of 16 Lineal Feet 1 inch Galvanized
Steel Conduit in Trench including labor and material .
Item 3. Installation of one Concrete Handhole including labor
and material .
REASONS FOR CHANGE
Items 1 , 2 & 3. At the time of designing Phase I , certain items were
included for the new traffic signals that would be installed as a part
of Phase II. During the design of Phase II , it was realized that three
(3) additional items needed to be installed before the sidewalk under
the Phase I contract.
SUMMARY OF CHANGES IN CONTRACT AMOUNT. The amount of the contract shall be
revised as follows:

Item 1 , Installing 228 L.F. 11/4 inch Galvanized . $1 ,710.00
Steel Conduit @ $7.50 (Labor & Material ) .
Item 2. Installing 16 L.F. 1 inch Galvanized 104.00
Steel Conduit @ $6.50 (Labor & Material ) .
Item 3. Installing One (1 ) Concrete Handhole @ 790.00
$790.00.
Total - $2,604.00
By reason of this Change Order No.2, the contract cost for National Street
Streetscape, Phase I shall be increased in the amount of Two Thousand Six
Hundred & Four Dollars ($2,604.00) to a total of One Hundred Ten Thousand
Seventy Four and 80/100 Dollars ($110,074.80) .
OTHER CONTRACT PROVISIONS. All other contract provisions shall remain the
same.
