FIELD TEST ACRLEILNT OF ELGIN SWEEPER CO.

Agrees to do the following:
1. Supply a Diesel PELICAN Hydrostatic sweeper to be used in normal city
sweeping service as needed and scheduled by the city. (S.N. A-103D) .
2. To furnish this sweeper at no cost to the city for the use or delivery
of the sweeper.
3. To furnish all parts needed for servicing, repair, and modification
that is performed while the sweeper is being used by the city. This
includes tires, brooms, dirt shoes, deflectors, filters, etc. It does
not include fuel, oil, water, anti-freeze; or grease.
4. Provide sufficient training, both in operation and maintenance, for
city personnel responsible for operation and maintenance of the sweeper.
5. Provide an engineering technician as a contact person who will evaluate
the testing, perform troubleshooting, arrange for repair when needed
and arrange for factory or distributor assistance when required.
6. Provide labor and materials for any modification or repair other than
ordinary repair. This includes reimbursing the city or Elgin Distributor
for. costs incurred in modification or repair if mutually agreed to before
the work is performed.
7. Provide vehicle insurance covering Collision, Comprehensive, and Public
Liability and Property Damage.
8. Supply a vehicle license (Dealer) sufficient for the delivery from and
return of the sweeper to Elgin Sweeper Company.
9. Supply "Slow Moving Vehicle" emblem on back of sweeper.
• The City of Elgin, Illinois agrees to do the following:
1. Supply an operator for the sweeper.
2. To use the sweeper in normal street sweeping service in a normal sweeping
schedule.
3. Provide any insurance required to cover the operator for Workmens Com-
pensation, Liability, and any other risk that the city assumes in a
normal street sweeping operation.

4. Furnish all fuel, oil, grease, anti-freeze, or other similar material -
required for daily operation. . _
5. Perform normal daily maintenance and wash down.
6. Keep a simple operational daily log sheet, blank sheets to be furnished
by Elgin Sweeper Company.
7. Furnish facilities for normal maintenance and normal repairs and storage.
8. Perform special testing if mutually agreed to by Elgin Sweeper Company
and the city.
9. Initiate no publicity or overtly display the sweeper to Elgin Sweeper
competitors or potential Elgin Sweeper customers without the express
consent of Elgin Sweeper Company.
10. Allow authorized Elgin Sweeper Company employees to witness the sweeper
in use.
The intent of this agreement is for the sweeper to be used by the city for
approximately three months. However, if it seems adviseable to terminate,
extend, or interrupt the test, for whatever reason, at the request of the
City of Elgin or Elgin Sweeper' Company, this may be done immediately by
either party by furnishing such a request in writing,to the other party.
Sweeper will be delivered during May of 1984.
