NAMING A PRIVATE DRIVE IN THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that the name of a certain street from Raymond Street to the Chicago and
Northwestern Railway right of way, legally described as:
Over that part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 24 and
that part of the Northwest quarter of Section 25, Township 41
North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, being a
strip of land 100 feet wide the center line of which is described
as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the North line of
said Northwest quarter of Section 25 with the center line of
Raymond Street as Raymond Street runs Southerly; thence _South-
erly along the center line of Raymond Street, being along a line
that forms an angle of 106 degrees 46 minutes 48 seconds as
measured from East .to South with said North line, a distance of
133.74 feet for the place of beginning of said center line of
said 100 foot wide strip of land; thence Northwesterly along a
line that forms a. counter clockwise angle of 62 degrees 29 minutes
35 seconds with the last described course, 215.99 feet to a point
of curve in said center line; thence Northwesterly along a curve
to the left having a radius of 330.69 feet and tangent to the
last described course, a distance of 194.22 feet to the Easterly
right of way line of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway for
the terminous of said center line of said 100 foot wide strip of
land. Situated in Elgin Township, Kane County, Illinois.
be and the same is hereby designated Purify Drive.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all signs and maps be altered to reflect
the foregoing change.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to give
notice of the foregoing name change in the United States Post Office and
the County Clerk of Kane County, in writing by certified mail, and that the
foregoing name change shall be effective thirty (30) days after said notifi-
cation.
