RESOLUTION
CHANGING THE NAME OF TWO PUBLIC ALLEYS IN THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,. ILLINOIS,
that the name of a certain alley from the Fountain Square Plaza to
Riverside Drive, legally described as:
That part of a walkway in J. T. Gifford's Plat in the
Southeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 8
East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 12, Block 21; thence
Southwesterly along the Northerly lot line 184 feet, more or
less thence Southeasterly 10 feet, more or less, along the
Westerly lot line; thence Northeasterly 184 feet; more or less,
parallel with the Northerly lot line; thence Northwest 10 feet
along the Easterly lot line to the place of beginning. Being
located in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois.
be and the same is hereby renamed Clock Tower Way.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the name of a certain alley from the
Fountain Square Plaza to Riverside Drive legally described as:
That part of a walkway in B. W. Raymond's Subdivision in
the Southeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 8
East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Subdivision; thence
Northwest, along the Westerly line of said Subdivision, 18 feet,
more or less; thence Northeast along the South line of Lots 20 and
19, 180.75 feet, more or less; thence Southeasterly along the
Easterly line of said Subdivision 18 feet, more or less; thence
Southwest along the Southerly line of said Subdivision 180.75
feet, more or less for the place of beginning. Being located in
the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois.
be and the same is hereby renamed Fountain Square Way.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all signs and maps be altered to reflect
the foregoing changes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to give
notice of the foregoing name changes to the United States Post Office and
the County Clerk of Kane County, in writing by certified mail, and that the
foregoing name changes shall be effective thirty (30) days after said notifi-
cation.
