HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-84 STATE CY ILLINCIS ) ) SS - COUNTY OF KANE • RESOLUTION NO. 79-84 MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITY OF SOUTH STREET IN THE CITY OF ELGIN, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the County of Kane has heretofore improved South Street, County Highway75., from Randall Road easterly to Weld Road with Motor Fuel Tax Funds; and • WHEREAS, the control of permits for driveways, utility installations, subdivision streets connecting onto this portion of South Street should more properly be the function of the City of Elgin. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF ELGIN AND THE COUNTY OF KANE that the maintenance responsibility of the aforesaid road shall be assumed .by the City of Elgin and shall no loncer be part of the County Highway system. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kane County Clerk be, and he hereby is, directed to transmit two (2) certified copies of this resolution to the Depart- ment of Transportation through its Regional Transportation Engineer. Illinois/62764 June 7 , 1979 County Roads Kane County County Highway Resolution David Pierce Government Center County Clerk Kane County Geneva, Illinois 60134 Dear Sir: The Department today approved the County Board's May 8 , 1979 resolution deleting County Highway 75 from the County Highway System. We also acknowledge receipt of the City of Elgin's April 12 , 1979 resolution providing for future maintenance of the deleted County Highway. Department approval of these documents is not required, but are considered as evidence of the awareness of responsibilities on the part of the City.
