RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING PLAT OF DEDICATION FOR THE EXTENSION OF HIAWATHA
DRIVE, IN THE CITY OF ELGIN, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS .
WHEREAS, the owners of record have submitted a Plat of
Dedication for the extension of Hiawatha Drive between Jefferson
Avenue and Summit Street, in the City of Elgin, Cook County,
Illinois , for approval and acceptance of the City Council of
the City of Elgin, Illinois , and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that said Plat of
Dedication for public streets be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS .
That a certain Plat of Dedication for the extension of
Hiawatha Drive between Jefferson Avenue and Summit Street here-
tofore submitted and identified as a Plat prepared by James C.
Uecker, Registered Professional Engineer, on August 8, 1972,
dedicating the following described parcels of land, to-wit:
PARCEL #1
That part of the Southwest quarter of Section 7, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 9 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, described as follows : Commencing at a point
on the South line of said Southwest quarter that is 2327.35
feet Westerly of (measured along the South line of said
Southwest quarter) the Southeast corner of said South-
west quarter; thence Northerly along the East end of
Grand Avenue extended Southerly and along said East N
end , a distance of 126.0 feet to the North line of N.)
Grand Avenue, thence Westerly along said North line, a N
distance of 33.0 feet to the Center line of Hiawatha Q'
Drive; thence Northerly along said Center line, a dis-
tance

of 559.4 feet to the place of beginning; thence C=1N
continuing Northerly along said Center line, a distance CO
of 175.0 feet; thence Easterly along a line that is
perpendicular to the last described course, a distance
of 33 .0 feet; thence Southerly along a line that is
parallel to the Center line of Hiawatha Drive, a dis-
tance of 175.0 feet; thence Westerly along a line that
is perpendicular to the last described course, a dis-
tance of 33.0 feet, to the place of beginning. Being
situated in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois .

That part of the Southwest quarter of Section 7, Township

described as follows: Commencing at a point on the
South line of said Southwest quarter that is 2327.35
feet Westerly of (measured along the South line of
said Southwest quarter) the Southeast corner of said
Southwest quarter; thence Northerly along the East line
of Grand Avenue, extended Southerly and along said
East end, a distance of 126,0 feet to the North line
of Grand Avenue; thence Westerly along said North line,
a distance of 33.0 feet to the Center line of Hiawatha
Drive; thence Northerly along said Center line, a dis-
tance of 859.4 feet to the place of beginning; thence
continuing Northerly along said Center line, a distance
of 339, 1 feet to the South line of Lord 's Park Manor
Subdivision; thence Easterly along said South line, a
distance of 33 .0 feet ; thence Southerly parallel with
the Center line of Hiawatha Drive, a distance of 341.0
feet; thence Westerly perpendicular to the last described
course, a distance of 33 .0 feet to the place of be-
ginning. Being situated in the City of Elgin, Cook
County, Illinois ,
be and the same hereby is approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the agreement entered into by
and between the City Manager of the City of Elgin, Illinois ,
and the owners of said land , dated September 13, 1972, be and
the same is ratified and approved ,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they hereby are, authorized to execute said Plat of Dedication
for and on behalf of the City of Elgin, Illinois .

under and by virtue of the laws of the State of Delaware and duly authorized to
transact business in the State of Illinois , for the consideration of TEN AND NO/100
DOLLARS ($10.00) , and other valuable consideration in hand paid, and pursuant
to authority given by the Board of Directors of said corporation CONVEYS and
QUIT CLAIMS unto the CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, a municipal corporation of the State
