RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A FINAL PLAT OF EASEMENT FOR WATERMAIN,
SIDEWALK AND STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PURPOSES FROM ST. EDWARDS
CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL AND ACCEPTANCE FOR OWNERSHIP AND
MAINTENANCE CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE SITE LOCATED AT
335 LOCUST STREET
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that David J. Kaptain, Mayor, and Kimberly A. Dewis, City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and accept a Final Plat of Easement for Watermain, , and Stormwater
Management Purposes for 335 Locust Street from St. Edwards Central High School regarding the
property legally described on said plat prepared by Salas Land Surveying with an issue date of
June 7, 2023, a copy of which is attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause said Final Plat of
Easement for Watermain, Sidewalk, and Stormwater Management Purposes for 335 Locust Street
to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Kane County, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City of Elgin hereby accepts for ownership and maintenance certain public
improvements within 335 Locust Street which will include watermains and sidewalks. Acceptance
of the public improvements will add the following city maintained facilities: Approximately 202
lineal feet of 8-inch watermain; one 8-inch valve in 48-inch vault; 67 lineal feet of five-foot
sidewalk and all their respective appurtenances to the City maintained facilities.
