HomeMy WebLinkAbout25-0423 Public Notice Boundary Line Lily LakeCITY OF ELGIN PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED BOUNDARY LINE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ELGIN AND VILLAGE OF LILY LAKE PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all interested persons that, pursuant to their authority as Illinois municipalities and the provisions of Section 11-12-9 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/11-12-9), and pursuant to the City of Elgin’s authority as a home rule unit of location government, the City of Elgin and the Village of Lily Lake propose to enter into an intergovernmental boundary line agreement to set forth a jurisdictional boundary line between their respective municipalities for the purposes of annexation (hereinafter referred to as the Proposed Boundary Line Agreement). The Proposed Boundary Line Agreement will be considered by the City Council for the City of Elgin not less than 30 days and not more than 120 days from the date of this Notice. The City Council will consider the Proposed Boundary Line Agreement at its regular meeting scheduled for April 23, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Second Floor, North Tower, Elgin City Hall, 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, Illinois, 60120, and at such other meetings of the City Council to which the matter may be continued without further public notice. The Proposed Boundary Line Agreement, along with a map showing the proposed boundary line, may be viewed in person at the Community Development Department, Elgin City Hall, 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, Illinois 60120. All persons interested in the Proposed Boundary Line Agreement should attend the above- described regular meeting of the City Council of City of Elgin, and all persons will be given an opportunity to provide public comment about the Proposed Boundary Line Agreement. Members of the public can also submit written comments via email to Community Development Department Director Marc Mylott at marc.mylott@elginil.gov. Members of the public may request additional information about the Proposed Boundary Line Agreement from the City of Elgin by calling Community Development Department Director Marc Mylott at (847) 931-5914. The City of Elgin is subject to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
