RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF UNITED SHIELD INTERNATIONAL BALLISTIC
SHIELDS FROM RAY O'HERRON COMPANY, INC.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that pursuant to Elgin Municipal Code Section 5.02.020B(9)the City Council hereby finds that an
exception to the requirements of the procurement ordinance is necessary and in the best interest of
the city; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that Richard G. Kozal, City Manager, be and is hereby authorized and directed to
purchase United Shield International Ballistic Shields from Ray O'Herron Company, Inc. for the
total amount of$35,171.94 pursuant to the quotation therefore dated January 16, 2024, a copy of
which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.
