RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A GRANT APPLICATION FROM THE UNITED
STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOREST SERVICE THROUGH THE
INFLATION REDUCTION ACT UNDER DIRECTION OF THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT
OF NATURAL RESOURCES URBAN& COMMUNITY FORESTRY GRANT FOR
GOVERNMENT ENTITIES PROGRAM
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that David J. Kaptain, Mayor, be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant
application on behalf of the City of Elgin from the United States Department of Agriculture Forest
Service Through the Inflation Reduction Act under Direction of the Illinois Department of Natural
Resources Urban & Community Forestry Grant for Government Entities Program to enhance
urban and community forestry in nature-deprived populations and disadvantaged communities.
