RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A PLAT OF EASEMENT FOR SIDEWALK PURPOSES
FROM ELGIN MOTORS HOLDING AND ACCEPTANCE FOR OWNERSHIP AND
MAINTENANCE CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE SITE LOCATED AT
2030 N. RANDALL ROAD
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that David J. Kaptain, Mayor, and Kimberly A. Dewis, City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and accept a Plat of Easement for Sidewalk Purposes for 2030 N. Randall
Road from Elgin Motors Holding regarding the property legally described on said plat prepared
by Regional Land Services with an issue date of January 19, 2023, last revised on October 28,
2023 a copy of which is attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause said Plat of Easement for
Sidwalk Purposes, 2030 N. Randall Road to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of
Kane County, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City of Elgin hereby accepts for ownership and maintenance certain public
improvements within 2030 N. Randall Road which will include sidewalks. Acceptance of the
public improvements will add the following city maintained facilities: Approximately 410 lineal
feet of 5-foot sidewalk and all their respective appurtenances to the City maintained facilities.
