RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING FOR OWNERSHIP AND MAINTENANCE CERTAIN PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE CHICAGO WHITE METAL SUBDIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that the City of Elgin hereby accepts, for ownership and maintenance in the Chicago White Metal
Subdivision the following public improvements: streets,watermains, sanitary sewers, streetlights,
street signs, sidewalks, parkway trees and their related appurtenances. Acceptance of these
improvements will add the following maintained facilities:2,096 lineal feet of 12-inch water main;
1,348 lineal feet of 20-inch water main;two 12-inch valves in 5-foot vaults;two 20-inch valves in
6-foot vaults; 12 fire hydrants; 1,795 lineal feet of 12-inch sanitary sewer; seven sanitary
manholes;546 lineal feet of 12-inch storm sewer; 152 lineal feet of 18-inch storm sewer;403 lineal
feet of 24-inch storm sewer; 32 lineal feet of 42-inch storm sewer; 222 lineal feet of 48-inch storm
sewer; 732 lineal feet of 54-inch storm sewer; seventeen catch basins; ten storm manholes;twelve
street lights; two street signs; 2,045 lineal feet of improved street; 4,784 lineal feet of curb and
gutter; 85 parkway trees; 8,086 square feet of sidewalk; and their appurtenances to the city
maintained facilities.
