RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A GRANT APPLICATION FROM THE STATE OF
ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR THE
RISE IMPLEMENTATION GRANT PROGRAM
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that Richard G. Kozal, City Manager, be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant
application on behalf of the City of Elgin from the State of Illinois Department of Commerce and
Economic Opportunity for the RISE Implementation Grant Program,therein committing matching
funds not to exceed five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to retrofit or renovate existing
buildings in downtown Elgin.
