RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING FOR OWNERSHIP AND MAINTENANCE CERTAIN PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN WEST POINT GARDENS SOUTH PHASE 2 SUBDIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that the City of Elgin hereby accepts for ownership and maintenance certain public improvements
within West Point Gardens South Phase 2 Subdivision which will include watermains, sanitary
sewers, storm sewers, streets, streetlights, street signs and sidewalks. Acceptance of the public
improvements will add the following city maintained facilities: Approximately 1,672 lineal feet
of 8-inch water main; five fire hydrants with 6-inch auxiliary valves; 2,200 lineal feet of 8-inch
PVC sanitary sewer;eight 4-foot diameter sanitary manholes; 140 linear feet of 12-inch RCP storm
sewer; 397 linear feet of 15-inch RCP storm sewer; ten 3-foot catch basins; three 4-foot storm
manholes; six street lights;three street signs; 1,564 lineal feet of improved street; 3,475 lineal feet
of curb and gutter; 17,355 square feet of 5 foot wide sidewalk; 94 parkway trees and their
appurtenances to the City maintained facilities.
