RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING FOR OWNERSHIP AND MAINTENANCE CERTAIN PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN WEST POINT GARDENS SOUTH PHASE 1 SUBDIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that the City of Elgin hereby accepts for ownership and maintenance certain public improvements
within West Point Gardens South Phase 1 Subdivision which will include watermains, sanitary
sewers, storm sewers, streets, streetlights, street signs, sidewalks and bike paths. Acceptance of
the public improvements will add the following city maintained facilities: Approximately 2,213
lineal feet of 8-inch water main; 1,205 lineal feet of 12-inch water main; thirteen 8-inch valves in
4-foot vaults; four 12-inch valves in 5-foot vaults; one 12-inch valve in a 6-foot vault; eleven fire
hydrants with 6-inch auxiliary valves; 2,558 lineal feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer; twelve 4-
foot diameter sanitary manholes; 915 linear feet of 12-inch RCP storm sewer; 988 linear feet of
15-inch RCP storm sewer; 204 linear feet of 18-inch RCP storm sewer; 110 linear feet of 21-inch
RCP storm sewer; 497 linear feet of 24-inch RCP storm sewer; 375 linear feet of 36-inch RCP
storm sewer;38-3-foot catch basins; seventeen 4-foot storm manholes;one 5-foot storm manhole;
three 6-foot storm manholes; one 15 inch flared end section; sixteen street lights; eleven street
signs; 3,265 lineal feet of improved street; 6,514 lineal feet of curb and gutter; 26,280 square feet
of 5 foot wide sidewalk; 1,092 lineal feet of 10-foot wide bike path; 165 parkway trees and their
appurtenances to the City maintained facilities.
