RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A PLAT OF ABROGATION& EASEMENT GRANT
FROM YORK MW LLC AND ACCEPTANCE FOR OWNERSHIP AND MAINTENANCE
CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE SITE LOCATED AT 2601 MASON
ROAD
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that David J. Kaptain, Mayor, and Kimberly A. Dewis, City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and accept a Plat of Abrogation & Easement Grant for watermain and
stormwater management purposes for 2601 Mason Road from York MW LLC regarding the
property legally described on said plat prepared by Manhard Consulting dated February 1, 2022,
last revised on January 9, 2023 a copy of which is attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause said Plat of Abrogation
& Easement Grant for 2601 Mason Road to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of
Kane County, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City of Elgin hereby accepts for ownership and maintenance certain public
improvements within 2601 Mason Road which will include watermains, fire hydrants, sidewalks
and street trees. Acceptance of the public improvements will add the following city maintained
facilities: Approximately 1,782 lineal feet of 8-inch watermain; 276 lineal feet of 12-inch
watermain; three 8-inch valves in 48-inch vaults; two 12-inch valves in 60-inch vaults; five fire
hydrants; 34 lineal feet of 12-inch storm sewer; 780 lineal feet of 24-inch storm sewer; 235 lineal
feet of 19-inch by 30-inch helical storm sewer; six storm manholes; five catch basins; 1,940 lineal
feet of five foot sidewalk; 72 street trees and their appurtenances to the City maintained facilities.
