HomeMy WebLinkAbout23-182Resolution No. 23-182 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A PLAT OF EASEMENT FOR WATERMAIN PURPOSES FROM SCANNELL PROPERTIES #591, LLC AND ACCEPTANCE FOR OWNERSHIP AND MAINTENANCE CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE SITE LOCATED AT 1451 SHELDON DRIVE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that David J. Kaptain, Mayor, and Kimberly A. Dewis, City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute and accept a Plat of Easement for watermain purposes for 1451 Sheldon Drive from Scannell Properties #591, LLC regarding the property legally described on said plat prepared by Haeger Engineering dated December 14, 2022, last revised on February 21, 2023 a copy of which is attached hereto. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause said Plat of Easement for Watermain Purposes, 1451 Sheldon Drive to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that the City of Elgin hereby accepts for ownership and maintenance certain public improvements within 1451 Sheldon Drive which will include watermains, fire hydrants and valve vaults. Acceptance of the public improvements will add the following city maintained facilities: Approximately 26 lineal feet of 6-inch watermain; 1,792 lineal feet of 8-inch watermain; 2,056 lineal feet of 12-inch watermain; three 8-inch valve in 48-inch vaults; five 12-inch valves in 60- inch vaults; one 16-inch valve in 72-inch vault; ten fire hydrants and all their respective appurtenances to the City maintained facilities. s/ David J.
