RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A PLAT OF WATERMAIN EASEMENT FROM
MENARD, INC. AND ACCEPTANCE FOR OWNERSHIP AND MAINTENANCE CERTAIN
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE SITE LOCATED AT 825 S. RANDALL ROAD
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that David J. Kaptain, Mayor, and Kimberly A. Dewis, City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and accept a Plat of Watermain Easement for watermain purposes for 825
S. Randall Road from Menard, Inc. regarding the property legally described on said plat prepared
by Craig R. Knoche & Associates Civil Engineers, P.C. dated July 12, 2022, a copy of which is
attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause said Plat of Watermain
Easement for 825 S. Randall Road to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Kane
County, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City of Elgin hereby accepts for ownership and maintenance certain public
improvements within 825 S. Randall Road which will include watermains and a fire hydrant.
Acceptance of the public improvements will add the following City maintained facilities:
Approximately five lineal feet of 6-inch watermain; 519 lineal feet of 8-inch watermain; two fl-
inch valves in 48-inch vaults; one fire hydrant and their appurtenances to the City maintained
facilities.
