RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A PLAT OF DEDICATION& EASEMENT GRANT
FROM LARKIN, LP AND ACCEPTANCE FOR OWNERSHIP AND MAINTENANCE
CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE SITE LOCATED AT 1212 LARKIN
AVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
that David J. Kaptain, Mayor, and Kimberly A. Dewis, City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and accept a Plat of Dedication&Easement Grant for watermain,sanitary,
and stormwater detention purposes for 1212 Larkin Avenue from Larkin, LP regarding the
property legally described on said plat prepared by Manhard Consulting dated March 13, 2020,
last revised on January 7, 2022, a copy of which is attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause said Plat of Dedication
& Easement Grant for 1212 Larkin Avenue to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds
of Kane County, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that the City of Elgin hereby accepts for ownership and maintenance certain public
improvements within 1212 Larkin Avenue which will include watermains, sanitary sewers,
streetlights, street signs, sidewalks, and trees. Acceptance of the public improvements will add
the following City maintained facilities: Approximately 549 lineal feet of 8-inch watermain; one
4-inch valve in 4-foot vault; four 8-inch valves in 4-foot vaults; 3 fire hydrants; 469 lineal feet of
8-inch PVC sanitary sewer; four 4-foot diameter sanitary manholes; 5 streetlights; 2 street signs;
3,950 square feet of sidewalk; 27 parkway trees and their appurtenances to the City maintained
facilities.
