RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE WRITE-OFF OF A RECEIVABLE
FROM THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD
WHEREAS,the City has previously provided for weed cutting on the Union Pacific Railroad
right-of-way within the City resulting in charges to the Union Pacific Railroad of$124,200; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that these weed cutting related charges to the Union
Pacific Railroad are not collectable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN,ILLINOIS,that the City's Chief Financial Officer be and is hereby authorized and directed to
write-off the receivable for weed cutting related charges for the Union Pacific Railroad in the amount
of$124,200.
