RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN EXTENSION AGREEMENT TO THE COLLECTIVE
BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ELGIN AND CLERICAL •
TECHNICAL GROUP SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION LOCAL 73
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,ILLINOIS,that
Richard G.Kozal,City Manager,and Kimberly Dewis,City Clerk,be and are hereby authorized and
directed to execute an Extension Agreement to the Collective Bargaining Agreement on behalf of the
City of Elgin with the Clerical Technical Group Service Employees International Union Local 73,a
copy of which is attached hereto.and made a part hereof by reference.

EXTENSION AGREEMENT TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ELGIN AND CLERICAL TECHNICAL GROUP SERVICE
EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION LOCAL 73
This Extension Agreement to a Collective Bargaining Agreement is made and entered
into this 14th day of October , 2020, by and between the City of Elgin
(hereinafter referred as the "City") and the Clerical Technical Group Service Employees
International Union Local 73 (hereinafter referred to as the "Union").
WHEREAS, the City and the Union have previously entered into a Collective Bargaining
Agreement with a term of January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2019 (hereinafter referred to
as the "Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the parties hereto wish to extend the term of the Agreement for two (2)
additional years to December 31, 2021, and to provide for a wage increase for 2020 and for no
wage increase for 2021, as hereinafter provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed by the City and the Union as follows:
1. That the terin of the Agreement is hereby extended through December 31, 2021. All
references in the Agreement to the term of the Agreement ending on December 31, 2019,
are hereby amended to December 31, 2021.
2. Article 1X, Section 1 of the Agreement entitled "Wages" be and is hereby amended by
adding the following additional provisions thereto:
"Effective at the beginning of the next payroll period immediately following the
ratification and entry into this Extension Agreement by both parties, employees
covered by this Agreement shall receive a two and one half percent (2.5%)
across the board hourly wage increase retroactive to January 1, 2020.
There shall be no wage increase for the year 2021."
3. That except as amended in this Extension Agreement, the Agreement between the City
and the Union shall be in full force and effect.
4. This Extension Agreement may be executed in counterparts, each of which shall be an
original and all of which shall constitute one and the same agreement. This Extension
Agreement may be executed electronically and any signed copy of this Extension
Agreement transmitted by fax machine or email shall be treated in all manners and
respects as an original document. The signature of any party on a copy of this Extension
Agreement transmitted by fax machine or email shall be considered for these purposes an
original signature and shall have the same legal effect as an original signature.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have entered into and executed this.
Extension Agreement as of' the date near first written above alter ratification by union
membership and approval.by the city council.
