RESOLUTION
ESTABLISHING AN HOURLY RATE FOR HIRE OF FIREFIGHTERS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,ILLINOIS,that
there be and is hereby established the following hourly rates charged to third parties for special
Fire/EMS details:
I. Regular Members of Fire Department:
Units of Local Government
and School Districts $ 55.00
All Others $ 52.00
II. Fire Officer $ 65.50
III. Use of Fire Vehicle $ 15.00
IV. City holidays will be billed at time and half for each person.
The rates for special Fire/EMS details shall be increased annually based on the general wage increase
included in the city's collective bargaining agreement with the fire union.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the rates established herein shall be effective on and
after January 1, 2007 and shall supersede any rates previously established.
