RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING A PLAT OF DEDICATION FOR A PUBLIC STREET
(Highland Avenue and McLean Boulevard)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that it hereby accepts a certain plat of dedication for a
public street prepared by Rosario S . Tarara' , an Illinois Land
Surveyor, and dated May 28, 2003 , for the property legally
described as follows :
That part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 15,
Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, described as follows, to-wit : Beginning at the
intersection of the East line of said Northwest Quarter
with the center line of Highland Avenue; thence Westerly
along said center line, a distance of 358 . 06 feet; thence
Southwesterly along a line that forms an angle of 99
degrees 35 minutes to the left with the prolongation of
the last described course, a distance of 40 . 57 feet to a
point 40 . 00 feet perpendicularly distant from said center
line of Highland Avenue; thence Easterly along a line
that an angle of 80 degrees 25 minutes to the left with
the prolongation of the last described course and
parallel with said center line of Highland Avenue, 318 .55
feet; thence Southeasterly along a line that forms an
angle of 39 degrees 27 minutes to the left with the
prolongation of the last described course, a distance of
38 . 46 feet to a point 15 feet perpendicularly distant
from the East line of said Northwest Quarter, thence
Southerly along a line that forms an angle of 39 degrees
27 minutes to the left with the prolongation of the last
described course, a distance of 139 . 14 feet ; thence
Easterly along a line that forms an angle of 83 degrees
33 minutes 19 seconds to the left with the prolongation
of the last described course, 15 . 10 feet to a point on
the East line of said Northwest Quarter; thence
Northeasterly along a line that forms an angle of 96
degrees 26 minutes 41 seconds to the left with the
prolongation of the last described course and along the
East line of said Northwest Quarter, 203 . 56 feet to the
point of beginning. Being situated in the City of Elgin,
Kane County, Illinois . Containing 17 . 084 square feet .

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is hereby
authorized and directed to cause said plat of dedication to be
filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Kane County, Illinois .
