RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING A PLAT OF DEDICATION FOR A PUBLIC STREET
(Britannia Drive and Capital Street)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that it hereby accepts a certain plat of dedication
for a public street prepared by James E. Hengtgen, an Illinois
Land Surveyor, and dated May 3 , 1999 for the property legally
described as follows :
That part of Lots 2 and 5 in Westfield Business
Park, being a subdivision of part of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 31, Township 42 North, Range 8
East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as
follows : Beginning at the Southeast Corner of said
Lot 2 ; thence North 88 degrees 47 minutes 45 seconds
West, along the South line of said Lot 2, a distance
of 33 . 00 feet; thence North 01 degree 12 minutes 15
seconds East, parallel to the East line of said
Lot 2 , a distance of 302 . 00 feet; thence
northwesterly, along a curve to the left having a
radius of 35 . 00 feet, tangent to the last described
course, an arc distance of 54 . 98 feet to the North
line of said Lot 2 ; thence South 88 degrees 47
minutes 45 seconds East, along said North line, a
distance of 33 . 00 feet to a point of curve in said
North line; thence southeasterly along a curve to
the right having a radius of 35 . 00 feet tangent to
the last described course, an arc distance of 54 . 98
feet; thence South 01 degree 12 minutes 15 seconds
East, along the East line of said Lot 2 and tangent
to the last described curve, a distance of 302 . 00
feet to the point of beginning. Containing 0 .26
acres more or less.

follows : Commencing at the Northeast corner of said
Lot 5; thence North 88 degrees 47 minutes 45 seconds
West, along the North line of said Lot 5, a distance
of 267 . 59 feet for the point of beginning; thence
South 01 degree 12 minutes 15 seconds East, parallel
with the East line of said Lot 5, a distance of
127 . 01 feet; thence southeasterly, along a curve to
the left having a radius of 270 . 00 feet with a chord
bearing of South 24 degrees 19 minutes 21 seconds
East tangent to the last described line, an arc
distance of 240 . 59 feet to a point on the South line
of said Lot 5, said point being 167 . 31 feet West of
the Southeast corner of said Lot 5, as measured
along said South line; thence North 88 degrees 47
minutes 45 seconds West, along said South line, a
distance of 84 . 85 feet; thence northwesterly, along
a curve to the right having a radius of 330 . 00 feet,
with a chord bearing of North 18 degrees 33 minutes
18 seconds West, an arc distance of 227 . 61 feet;
thence North 01 degree 12 minutes 15 seconds East,
parallel to the East line of said Lot 5 and tangent
to the last described curve, a distance of 127 . 01
feet to the aforesaid North line of Lot 5; thence
South 88 degrees 47 minutes 45 seconds East, along
said North line, a distance of 60 . 00 feet to the
point of beginning and containing 0 . 50 acres more or
less . All the above situated in the City of Elgin,
Kane County, Illinois .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is
hereby authorized and directed to cause said plat of
dedication to be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Kane
County, Illinois .
