RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING A PLAT OF DEDICATION FOR A PUBLIC STREET
(Capital Street)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that it hereby accepts a certain plat of dedication
for a public street prepared by James E. Hengtgen, an Illinois
Land Surveyor, for the property legally described as follows :
That part of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 31, Township 42 North, Range 8 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, described as follows :
Commencing at the Northeast Corner of the said
Southeast Quarter of Section 31; thence North 88
degrees 47 minutes 45 seconds West along the North
line of said Southeast Quarter, a distance of 558 .23
feet to an existing iron stake for the point of
beginning; thence South 02 degrees 06 minutes 07
seconds West along a line hereinafter referred to as
Line "A" , a distance of 463 .27 feet to the North
line of Capital Street as previously dedicated per
Document No. 95K034790 ; thence North 88 degrees 18
minutes 35 seconds West along said North line, a
distance of 66 . 00 feet to the intersection with a
parallel line that is 66 . 00 feet as measured
perpendicular, West of the aforesaid Line "A" thence
North 02 degrees 06 minutes 07 seconds East, along
said parallel line, a distance of 462 . 71 feet to the
aforesaid North line of the Southeast Quarter;
thence South 88 degrees 47 minutes 45 seconds East,
along said North line, a distance of 66 . 01 feet to
the point of beginning. Being situated in the City
of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois and containing 0 . 70
acre more or less .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is
hereby authorized and directed to cause said plat of
dedication to be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Kane
County, Illinois .
