AN ORDINANCE
VACATING A..PORTION OF NORTH PORTER STREETS A , PUBLI.0 STREET;,
IN THE CITY OF ELGIN , KANE COUNTY , .ILLIN.OIS . .
WHEREAS , a certain portion of a:, public street , known and
described as North Porter Street, in the City of Elgin , Kane
County , Illinois ; is no longer needed for public , street purposes ;
,a rid
WHEREAS , the public interest will be subserved by the
vacation of. the following described portion of said public
street,. to-wit :
That portion of North Porter Street lying between
the Southerly boundary of Ann Street and the Northerly
boundary' of Franklin Street , situated in - the City of
Elgin , County of Kane , State of Illinois .
be , and the same hereby. is , vacated for street purposes .
Section 2 . That the City of Elgin . does hereby reserve to
itself and to any and all public utility - companies owning any
public service facilities in any part !of :said street vacated by
this Ordinance full right of ingress a1nd egress in and from said
street for the purpose of continuing or extending public service
facilities an.d for the further prupose of maintenance , renewal , •
extensionor construction or reconstruction of any such public
service facilities .
Section 3 . That a .certified copy of this Ordinance , together_
with a Plat ofportion of said public street vacated , be ' filed
with the Recorder of Deeds of Kane County , Illinois .
Section 4 . That this Ordinance shall be effective from
and. after its passage as provided by law and shall be published
in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .
