21 b05 815 AN ORDINANCE
VACATING A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IN KINGS LANE SUBDIVISION
IN THE CITY OF ELGIN , COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS .
WHEREAS , a certain portion of a public street located and
platted in Kings Lane Subdivision , a subdivision in the City
of Elgin , Cook County , Illinois , has never been improved ,
maintained or used for street purposes , and
WHEREAS , the public interest will be sub-served by the
vacation of the following described portion of said public
street , to-wit:
That part of Ash Drive and Birch Drive , as platted
in Kings Lane Subdivision , being a subdivision of
part of the Southeast quarter of Section 18 , Township
41 North , Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian ,
described as follows : Beginning at the Southeast
corner of Lot 17 in Kings Lane Subdivision , as
aforesaid ; thence Easterly along the Southerly
line of said Lot 17 extended Easterly , a distance
of 60 .08 feet to a point on the Westerly line of
Lot 20 extended Northeasterly ; thence Southwesterly
along said Westerly line extended Northeasterly , a N
distance of 60 . 08 feet; thence Northeasterly , Northerly ,
Northwesterly , Westerly and Southwesterly along a
curve to the left having a radius of 40 . 0 feet , a 'CT
distance of 162 . 02 feet to the place of beginning .

CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :

Section 1 That the following described portion of a
certain public street located in Kings Lane Subdivision , in the
City of Elgin , Cook County , Illinois , to-wit :

Section 2 . That the City of Elgin does hereby reserve to
itself and to any and all public utility companies owning any
public service facilities in any part of said street vacated by
this Ordinance full right of ingress and egress in and from said
street for the purpose of continuing or extending public service
facilities and for the further purpose of maintenance , renewal ,
extension or construction or reconstruction of any such public
service facilities .
Section 3 . That a certified copy of this Ordinance , together
with a Plat of portion of said public street vacated be filed
with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County , Illinois .
Section 4 . That this Ordinance shall be effective from
and after its passage as provided by law and shall be published
in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .
