AN ORDINANCE
VACATING A PORTION OF WILLARD AVENUE , A PUBLIC STREET , SITUATED
IN SECTION 19 , TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH , RANGE 9 EAST OF THE THIRD
PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN , IN THE CITY OF ELGIN , COOK COUNTY , ILLINOIS .
WHEREAS , a certain portion of a public street located
and platted in the City. of Elgin , Cook County , Illinois , has
never been improved, maintained or used for street purposes ,
and

WHEREAS , said portion of the public street was formerly
utilized as a site for a lift station for the Sanitary District f cn
of Elgin , which , however, has been abandoned for more than
five years last past , and

WHEREAS , the public interest will be subserved by the �D
vacation of the following described portion of said public
street , to-wit :
That part of Willard Avenue in Section 19 , Township 4; ''
41 North , Range 9 East of the Third Principal
Meridian , described as follows :

Commencing at the point of intersection of the South
line of Bent Street , said South line being 33 feet
South of and parallel with the North line of Lot 11
in County Clerk ' s Division Subdivision of Section 19
aforesaid , with the South Westerly line of Willard
Avenue as shown on the plat of East Lawn Addition to
Elgin , a Subdivision in Section 19 aforesaid , according
to the plat thereof recorded March 10 , 1893 as document
1828586; then,ce; South. stprly along the South Westerly
line of said Willard Avenue , a distance of 119 . 4 feet ;
thence North along a line that forms an angle of 150
degrees 47 minutes to the left with the prolongation
of the last described course, a di-stan'.ce-. of 104 . 0- feet
to the South line extended East of Bent Street aforesaid ;
thence West along the South line of Bent Street
extended East , a distance of 58. 30",feet to, the. place
of beginning, in Cook County , Illinois .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS : .
Section 1 . That the following described portion of a
certain public street is platted and located in the City of
Elgin , Cook County , Illinois , to-wit:

be and the same hereby is vacated for street purposes .
Section 2 . That a certified copy of this Ordinance ,
together with a plat of the portion of said public street
vacated be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of
Cook County , Illinois .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be effective from
y and after its passage as provided by lati and shall be published
in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council .
