NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . Malm, Interim City Manager SUBJECT: Vacation of the Capital Street Right-of-Way Access Easement PURPOSE The purpose of the memorandum is to provide the Mayor and members of the City Council with information to consider the vacation of an access easement for Capital Street. BACKGROUND In May 1995, the City accepted the dedication of Capital Street right-of-way from Sherman Hospital . The dedication included an access easement from Randall Road to the dedicated ril- right-of-way. In April 1997, the City accepted the dedication of Holmes Road right-of-way between the Capital Street right-of-way and Randall Road. This second dedication eliminated the need for the access easement dedicated with Capital Street in 1995 . Please refer to Exhibit A. COMMUNITY GROUPS/INTERESTED PERSONS CONTACTED None.
