AN ORDINANCE w
AMENDING ORDINANCE S5-79 c,
WHEREAS, Ordinance S5-79 passed July 24, 1979 vacated a portion of
adjacent North Melrose Avenue for street purposes, described as follows: w
That part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 15, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of
Lot 13, Block 2 of Pleasant Home Addition; thence Northeasterly
along the Northerly line of said Lot 13 for a distance of 100.0
feet, more or less, to the point of intersection of said Northerly `
line of Lot 13 with the Southerly line of Lot 13, Block 4 of
Theo. F. Swan's Subdivision; thence West along the South line of -
Lot 13, Block 4 of Theo F. Swan's Subdivision to the West line
of said Lot 13; thence South along the West line extended of
Lot 13, Block 4 of Theo. F. Swan's Subdivision to the place of
beginning. Being situated in the City of Elgin, Kane County,
Illinois and containing 0.01 acres, more or less. 1:-

WHEREAS, said ordinance in Section 2 reserved the right in the future .
to extend public service facilities through said property; and
WHEREAS, it is not anticipated that public service facilities will
be extended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:

Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance S5-79 passed on July 24,
1979, reserving the right to extend and maintain public service facilities
is hereby repealed.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be effective from and after its
passage in the manner provided by law.
Section 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance shall be filed in
the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Kane County, Illinois.
