AN ORDINANCE
ADOPTING FURTHER AMENDMENTS TO THE
KANE COUNTY STORMWATER MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, additional requirements for stormwater control and water quality/best
management practices, and other amendments to the Kane County Stormwater Management
Ordinance are necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the further amendments to the Kane County Stormwater Management
Ordinance as set forth in of Kane County Ordinance No. 19-151 entitled "Amending the Kane
County Stormwater Management Ordinance", a copy of such ordinance being attached hereto as
Exhibit 1, are hereby adopted by the City of Elgin and are and shall be deemed to be included
within the City of Elgin's adoption of the Kane County Stormwater Management Ordinance, as
amended, as provided for in Section 21.01.010 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended,
entitled "Adopted:".
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and publication in the manner provided by law.

ORDINANCE NO. 1919151
AMENDING THE KANE COUNTY STORMWATER MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, pursuant to 551LOS 515-1062, the Kane County Board adopted Resolution No.
97-O7 establishing the Kane County Stormwater Management Planning Committee, for the purpose
of preparing a comprehensive countywide stpmmwster management plan and stormwater
management ordinance (the "Ordinance"); and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance was adopted by the County Board as by the passage of
Ordinance No. 00-312 on November 14, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the Kane County Technical Advisory Committee and Agricultural Subcommittee
have reviewed and recommended the revised Ordinance, a public hearing was held and copies
distributed for public comment as requlred in the OMinance; and
WHEREAS, the revised Kane County Stonnwater Ordinance shall replace Chapter 9 of the
County Code in its entirety. Any additions, revisions or fee schedules adopted by the Kane County
Board for unincorpomteNnon-cartRetl communities for which the Water Resources Division serves
as the CeNged Community shall not be incorporated Into Chapter 9 or cause the modification of
Chapter 9, and
WHEREAS, the Kane County Stormwater Management Planning Committee will approve a
list of developments that will he exempt from these revisions based upon Certfied Community
review and recommendations approved by the Kane County Stormwater Management Planning
Committee. Exempt developments are required to meet the January 1, 2002 Effective Data
Ordinance with all amendments prior to the current revision.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Chairman and the Kane County Board that
the Kane County Stonnwater Ordinance is amended. The amended Ordinance will he effective on
June 1, 2019.
