AN ORDINANCE
A \TEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ELGIN
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of record of certain
territory has been filed with the City Clerk requesting annexation of
said territory to the City of Elgin, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, said petition includes therein a statement under oath by
all the owners of record that no electors reside on the subject territory;
and
1AHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Elgin and is
not within the corporate limits of any municipality; and
WHEREAS, notice has been given to the Bartlett and Countryside Fire
Protection District and the Gail Borden Public Library District in
accordance with state statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS: cc
Section 1. That the territories and lands described as follows be C,L
and are annexed to and made a part of the City of Elgin and the boundaries C
of the City of Elgin be and are hereby enlarged and extended to include in CZ
the corporate boundaries of the City of Elgin said territory:
That part of Sections 17, 19 and 20, Township 41 North, '
Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Section 20; thence North
000 33' 59" East along the West lire of Section 17, 26.70 feet
(measured and deed) to a point on the Southerly right-of-way line
of State Route 19; thence South 730 37' 30" East, along the Southerly
right-of-way line of State Route 19, 463.6S feet (measured and deed)
to a point of curvature; thence Southeasterly along a curve to the
left, also being the Southerly right-of-way line of State Route 19,
having a radius of 1,795.23 feet, an arc distance of 184.53 feet
measured 187.40 feet deed (the chord thereof bearing South 730
16' 05" East, 184.45 feet measured, 187.32 feet deed) to the North-
west corner of Leo Leichter property; thence South 080 56' 47"
West 1433.02 feet measured and deed; thence South 830 39' 09" East
1001.22 feet measured and deed, to a point on the centerline of
Lovell Road; thence South OS° S9' 38" West, along said centerline

Section 2. That a certified copy of this ordinance together with an
accurate map of said territories shall be filed with the Recorder of Deeds,
Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage as provided by law.
