AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES SITUATED IN ELGIN TOWNSHIP , KANE
COUNTY , ILLINOIS IN THE CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS .
GIN , WHEREAS , certain properties owned by the State of Illinois ,
being utilized as a site for the Elgin State Hospital and under
here , the jurisdiction of the Director of the Department of Mental
Health of the State of Illinois , are partly within and partly
pointed without the corporate limits of the City of Elgin , Illinois , and
of WHEREAS , such portion of the territory lying without the
onday corporate limits is not within the corporate limits of any
municipality and is contiguous to the City of Elgin , Illinois ,

territories being utilized by said State institution be

WHEREAS , the Director of Mental Health of the State of
Illinois has given tentative approval to the annexation of the
territories hereinafter described to the City of Elgin ,
Illinois , and
WHEREAS , there is presently situated upon said premises an
institution for the care , treatment and hospitalization of the
mentally and physically sick and infirm, and
• WHEREAS , such use is permitted by the applicable zoning
under the Zoning Ordinance of Kane County , Illinois .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN , ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That the territories and lands described as
follows , to-wit :
Part of Sections 22 and 27 , Township 41 North , Range
