AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ELGIN
(Oak Grove)
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of record of
certain territory has been filed with the City Clerk
requesting annexation of said territory to the City of Elgin,
Illinois; and
WHEREAS, said petition includes therein a statement under
oath by all the owners of record that no electors reside on
the subject territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
Elgin and is not within the corporate limits of any
municipality; and

CD WHEREAS, legal notice of the intent of the City of Elgin

to annex said territory have been forwarded to all public
bodies required to receive said notice in the manner provided

cr NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That the territory and lands described as
follows be and are annexed to and made a part of the City of
Elgin and the boundaries of the City of Elgin be and are
hereby enlarged and extended to include in the corporate
boundaries of the City of Elgin said territory:
That part of the Southwest Quarter of Section CD
10 and that part of the Northwest Quarter of Section N
15, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, described as follows : LAD
Commencing at the Northwest corner of the Northwest

Quarter of said Section 15; thence North 88 degrees
7 minutes East along the North line of said CO
Northwest Quarter 886 . 88 feet; thence South parallel Crt D
with the West line of said Northwest Quarter, 35
feet for the point of beginning; thence North along
said parallel line and along a line parallel with
the West line of the Southwest Quarter of said
o Section 10 , a distance of 479 . 5 feet; thence North
88 degrees 32 minutes East 439 . 2 feet to the East

Quarter, 33 feet; thence Northwesterly to the point
of beginning. Also that part lying within Hoxie
Avenue, adjoining said property, in the Township of
Elgin, Kane County, Illinois .
Section 2 . That a certified copy of this ordinance
together with an accurate map of said territories shall be
filed with the Recorder of Deeds, Kane County, Illinois .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage in the manner provided
by law.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS
TO: Board of Trustees Pingree Grove Fire District
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Elgin, Kane and Cook Counties, Illinois, is
contemplating annexation of the following described real estate located in Elgin
Township:
(See attached legal description)
Such real estate is part of the Pingree Grove Fire District and this Notice is served upon
you pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-I-I of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised
Statutes.
This matter will be considered by the City Council of the City of Elgin at its Council
meeting in the City Hall, 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, Illinois, on Wednesday, August 8, 1990,
at 8:00 P.M.
