AN ORDINANCE
RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY AT 1 190 NORTH McLEAN BOULEVARD FROM
M-I LIMITED MANUFACTURING DISTRICT TO B-3 SERVICE BUSINESS DISTRICT
WHEREAS, written application has been made to reclassify certain property
located at 1190 North McLean Boulevard from M-I Limited Manufacturing District to
B-3 Service Business District; and
WHEREAS, the Land Use Committee has conducted a public hearing after due
notice and submitted its written findings and recommendations to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the Land Use
Committee and concurs in such recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section I. That Chapter 19.08, Section 19.08.020, entitled "Zoning District Map" of
the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended
by adding thereto the following paragraph:
"The boundaries hereinbefore laid out in the 'Zoning District Map', as
amended, he and are hereby altered by excluding from the M-I Limited
Manufacturing District and including in the B-3 Service Business District,
the following described property:
That part of Sections 3, 4 and 10, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of
the Third Principal Meridian, being part of property described in deed
recorded May 13, 1947 as Document No. 580786, described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the center line of McLean Boulevard
(formerly Sleepy Hollow Road or Crystal Lake Road) and the North right of
way line of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad; thence
Northerly along the center line of said Boulevard, a distance of 1,307.23
feet for a point of beginning; thence Westerly, parallel with the North right
of way line of said Railroad, a distance of 330.44 feet; thence Northerly,
parallel with the center line of said Boulevard a distance of 300.0 feet;
thence Easterly parallel with the North right of way line of said Railroad, a
distance of 330.44 feet to the center line of said Boulevard; thence
Southerly along said center line, a distance of 300.0 feet to the point of
beginning, in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval in the manner provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet
form by authority of the City Council.
