AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 16.24 OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE,
ENTITLED "ELECTRICAL CODE"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the provisions creating Sec. 690.4 (E). "Installation" within Section
16.24.080 of the Elgin Municipal Code entitled "Additions, insertions and changes" be and are
hereby further amended to read as follows:
"The PV array system shall be installed in a manner that complies with the provisions of
the International Building Code, International Residential Code, and/or the International
Fire Code,as adopted and amended by the city,the applicability of each which may depend
upon the building occupancy classification."
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance be and are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and
publication in the manner provided by law.
