HomeMy WebLinkAbout75-1223 Clarg Howard Park VOLUME XXXX 559 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GIFT OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM HAROLD T. SEIGLE AND JEROME M. ROTH WHEREAS, Harold T. Seigle and Jerome M. Roth have tendered their warranty deed to the City of Elgin representing a gift of 448 and 450 Fremont Street, for development of a critically needed neighborhood playground; and WHEREAS, the City of Elgin desires to construct.a park on this site. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS that it hereby gratefully accepts the gift of the follow- ing described real property: That part of the South half of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North line of Fremont Street, 308.88 feet West of the Southwest corner of Lot 5 in Block III of Hoagland's Addition to Elgin; thence North 314° East parallel with the Westerly line of said Lot 5, 132 feet to the South line of Franklin J. Kramer's Subdivision to Elgin; thence West along said South line 169.6 feet to the Southwest 1 corner thereof; thence Southwesterly along the extension of the 1 Westerly line of said subdivision 132.7 feet to the North line of 1 said Fremont Street; thence East along said North line 171.37 feet to the point of beginning, in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. made by Harold T. Seigle and Jerome M. Roth and directs the City Clerk to cause the warranty deed tendered by Harold T. Seigle and Jerome M. Roth, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, to be filed with the Recorder of Deeds, Kane County, Illinois. s/ Richard L. Verbic Richard L. BASIC'HOUSING -- PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE PASSED Councilman Gilliam made a motion, seconded by Councilman West to pass the aforementioned ordinance. Yeas: Councilmen Gilliam,Schmidt,Strattan,West and Mayor Verbic. Nays:None.
