Park.
Karen Sauter asked if there were plans for trees or landscaping at College Green Park, as
there is nothing on the south side to shade the playground. Randy will follow-up with Paul
Bednar. She also noted that there is graffiti on the round stones facing the fountain at
Festival Park.
VII. Miscellaneous:
A. Lords Park Pavilion Fee Waiver Request- September 13 rental for the 2008 Historical
Elgin House Tour/ Gifford Park Association thank you dinner for volunteers and
homeowners whose houses are part of the tour: Gifford Park Association members
volunteered at the Elgin Parks and Recreation event, Fox Trot.
MOTION: Carl Missele motioned to approve waiving of the fee to rent the Lords Park
Pavilion for the September 13 dinner for the house tour volunteers and homeowners
whose houses are part of the tour. Scott Palmer seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
B. Maria Cumpata noted that volunteers for FoxFireFest are still needed and to let her know
if anyone can work on Saturday or Sunday. Hours volunteers are needed are between
3:00 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and again on. Sunday late afternoon and evening.
