Monday, November 25, 2013, 7pm
City Hall, 2nd Floor Conference Room

I. Call to Order at 7:02pm by Chair Tricia Dieringer
II. Roll Call: Tricia Dieringer, Michael Murschel, Chandler Swan, Susan McIntyre, Cory Dixon,
Matt Iverson , Herb Gross. Excused Absence: Lauren Bullaro
III. Approval of the Minutes: Herb Gross motioned approval for August 26th and Michael
Murschel seconded. Motion passed 7-0. Herb Gross motioned approval as corrected for
September 23rd and Chandler Swan seconded. Motion passed 7-0. Herb Gross motioned
approval for October 28th and Michael Murschel seconded. Motion passed 7-0
IV. Council Memo for the Recognition Award Winners: Memo will be brought forward at the
December 18th council meeting.
V. Entry Way Signage Follow-up: Memo will be brought forward in January to the city
council. If possible, a representative from Hitchcock should be at the January meeting.
VI. Other Business
a. 2014 Meeting Calendar: January 23rd (someone from 311), February 1st (to review
image award nominations at the Centre), February 24th (to rehearse speeches), March
20th Image Award Ceremony.
b. Herb Gross motioned approval for red to be this year’s Image Award Program color
and Corey Dixon seconded. Motion passed 7-0.
c. Applications are due the third Friday of January and sent out to all commissioners.
d. Image Award form up and posters distributed by December 1st to include the
following: Post office, Judson, DNA , Centre, Library, YWCA, ECC, Museums,
Chamber, City Hall, Legion/VFW
e. Michael Murschel would staff to notify Com Ed or the city about leveling out the area
where Com Ed took out a pole on the southeast corner of Lawrence and McClure.
f. Matt Iverson would like staff to research ordinances against chain-link fence in the
front yards.

Image Advisory Commission Mission Statement:
Provide the City Council and staff with recommendations regarding initiatives that impact and work to
improve that image both within and outside the community.
