• The meeting was called to order at 635 p in by Chair Scott.
Discussion of Senior Housing Issues
David explained the. rule of the Code Administration Department and how they work in
conjunction with the Planning Department
First Assembly project-00 units
Alden Realty-39 units
The First Assembly project was going In be ieceivi ng HUD funding. Tho. Planning
Commission originally agreed and then disapproved the proposal due to the concerns of
the neighbors and the scale of the building. The Planning Commission did not feel that
his project was in cherectorwith the surrounding housing. HUD had a elause indicating
that children would be allowed in the units, therefore, given this information and the
neighbors concern, the project was declined.
Chair Scott inquired if the new housing restriclien applies to senior housing.
David answered ycs.
• There was further discussion regarding how individuals could apply for the senior
housing.
