HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCDATE=FEBRUARY 26, 2008 (6) lake maximum is at 730' —735 . Design will keep golf at 745' to be sure lake doesn't
rise up to golf course.
Hole #3 —middle length is par 5 to keep green tee relationships as close as possible.
Issue - five pockets of wetlands: Army Corp of Engineers changed permitting process
drove design decisions. Rest of plan is pretty consistent with original concept.
Four holes around lake will be incredible. Overall fairways are big with lots of room and
will tie in very nicely to front 9.
Art also noted that course will loose a hole when under construction. There are two
options:
1. Take#11 (par 5) and turn into two holes temporarily, a par 3 and a par 4, which will
be converted back to one hole later.
2. Have contractor build portion of hole. Would be built and seeded by June 1. Then
come in September and build#11.
Dave Thoren stated he was leaning towards the temporary par 3 option. Bill Hoffer
prefers to grow the new 18`f' in right—all of next year.
Jim Nowicki recommended leaving the decision up to staff. Those present agreed. No
official motion or vote was taken.
Mike Lehman will report on costs at next meeting.
Next, the Golf Leadership Team toured the new Clubhouse.
V. Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 1 :00 p.m.
