420 N Spring Street—Replace siding, Install new windows
The contractor has submitted a Certificate of Appropriateness to replace all windows and
siding on the second floor. The new wood double hung windows will include new
frames (not just sashes). Staff has investigated the existing window conditions and found
states of disrepair. One window has a broken pane but all others seem sound.
Additionally, the cedar clapboard siding is painted and looks sound.
After investigating the property file, staff could not find approval for the pattern on the
overhead garage door windows. Only plain glass was approved in 2006.
