Consideration of a request for a statement of City position
from the Elgin Sanitary District .
The Council was advised a request has been filed for a
service outside the Sanitary District and City of Elgin
boundaries . Upon research of the zoning, a special use
permit would be required from the Kane County Board.
It would appear that provision of service without annexation
would not be advantageous to the City since it would mke
it even more difficult to accomplish annexation at a future
date. Also, the proposed use is questionable, located adjacent
to residential areas.
Councilman Andersen made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman
Shales to ask the Sanitary District to deny this request
unless annexation is to take place. Yeas: Councilmen Andersen
