It was recommended that it the Board agreed and approved the educational statement. that it would take
effect during the next testing cycle. This would give Lieutenants and Sergeants a 2. year advance notice.
Cmmc O'Neal suggested that he educational level requiremenl be Imreased for Police candidates, whether it be
envy or promotia Wl.
Chief Miller recommended that current supervisory personnel continue In their present positions, however, any
for that promotions will require the additional education.
Current Lieutenants that do net have a nfinimum education of a 'Bachelma' degree will not he eligible to take the
Sergeant exam.
Chat order rimmed the Commissions that the department currently has a professional growth training program
available which consists of 2 days of professional outside training and 4 days of In house training.
