A motion was made by Commissioner Diamond, Seconded by Commis

fisher Camacho, not to release the July 7 , 1994 , executive ses-
sion minutes .
Motion carried . Ericson and Reed abstained.
A motion was made by Commissioner Ericson, seconded by Commit

stoner Hiamond, to send the top 12 promotional candidates with a
combined (written/department/seniority) of 72 to the a -
incluent center . If the 12th score 1s tied, eboth or all will be
ded .

All suggested changes have been incorporated into the Police and
Fire COMMIZZwn Rules and will now be sent to Legal for review.
In response to the Commission ' s request to improve backgrounds ,
Chief Gruber explained his proposal to enhance the background
investigation process . A memorandum was distributed from S/P
Henry Smith outlining the results of his research. Director
McCollum stated that specific details couldbe discussed in
executive session.
A motion was made by Commissioner Camacho, conded by Commis-
sioner Diamond, to move to executive session at 8 : 19 p.m.
Motion carried.
