Mr . Folarin explained the delay in the Police Sergeant promotion-
al process . Previously, applicants needed a 738 on the written
examination i
order to proceed to the next step in the pro-

result at a Peoria court case, e thwrit-
ten, m rit �e£ficiency, and seniority points mustbe combined
before applicants can proceed to the next step in the process .
The commission decided to score the points as follows: written
100 , seniority 10 , department 20 . Since the Commission did not
discuss how to weight the scor , there were three possible ways
to calculate them.
A. Soo ( d) + 10( s ) + 20 (d) '- 10 people will Score 728 o above .
B . lo (w) + 10 ( s ) l 20 (d) = 11 people will Score 728 or above .
C . 100 (w) + loo (s ) - 100 (0 ) = s people t-a 21 score _s 0_ =_hove .
(Note : Those names in C would also be included under A and B )

previously decided to send 12 candidates to the assessment cen-
ter, this method would sena 14 .

A motion was made by Commissioner Ericson , seconded by Commis-
or Camacho, to sena out a maximum of 350 applications for
firefighter.
Motion carried.
A motion was rich by Commissioner Camacho, seconded by Comlla-
r Reed, to have the firefighter applicants with the top 40
written score& proceed to the next step in the Process . -'

Mr . Folarin reported that the Rules and Regulations are being
reviewed by legal and will be ready in January for the board.
