BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all city signs and maps shall be altered to read Symphony Way at the aforesaid places . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give written notice to the election authorities having jurisdiction in the area in which the street name is hereby changed and to the post office branch serving that area by certified or registered mail . The following address would be impacted by changing North Street from N . Grove to "Symphony Way" . 55 North Street Appellate Court 158 North Street Foxhole Pub 160 North Street vacant (Craig Bakstad/Frank Halsey, owners) 166 North Street Vecchio' s (John Haight, owner) 203 North Street residence 209 North Street residence 214 North Street Elgin Blue Printery 217 North Street Kellenberger Auto Service 218 North Street Ace Hardware (receiving) 2 . Contacts were made with various City Departments for comments regarding the impact of this request . Police-no adverse impact Fire-no adverse impact . It will take some time to change CAD system so that name will be recognized for dispatching purpose . Planning-only suggestion was to make sure that impacted property owners are notified with sufficient time to respond. 3 . One option would be to provide for honorary street names . This would allow the original name to remain while still providing a sign giving recognition to the person, place or organization desired. Michael Pastreich will contact each of the property owners to let them know of his request .
