RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING A PLAT OF EASEMENT FOR UTILITY PURPOSES
(Elgin Soccer Complex)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS, that it hereby accepts a Plat of Easement for
utility purposes for the property legally described as follows :
A 10. 00 foot wide ComEd and Ameritech easement
over part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 23,
Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, the center line of said easement
described as follows : Commencing at the Northwest
corner of said Southwest Quarter of Section 23;
thence North 00 degrees 01 minutes 44 seconds East,
along the northerly extension of the West line of
said Southwest Quarter of Section 23, a distance of
30 . 11 feet to the southerly right of way line, as
monumented, of U. S. Route 20 bypass (Federal Aid
Route 6 ) per Document No. 626661; thence South 88
degrees 53 minutes 06 seconds East, along said
southerly right of way line, a distance of 1910 . 76
feet to said center line of easement for the point
of beginning; thence South 00 degrees 17 minutes 10
seconds West, along said center line, a distance of
227 . 58 feet; thence South 42 degrees 57 minutes 51
seconds East, along said center line, a distance of
42 . 60 feet; thence southerly along said center line
being a curve to the left having a radius of 280. 00
feet, an arc distance of 54 . 16 feet; thence South 00
degrees 01 minutes 28 seconds East, along said
center line tangent to the last described curve, a
distance of 140 . 55 feet; thence southerly along said
center line being a curve to the right having a
radius of 245 . 00 feet tangent to the last described
course, an arc distance of 54 . 11 feet to a point
hereinafter referred to as Point "A" ; thence
continuing southerly along said center line being a
curve to the right having a radius of 245. 00 feet,
an arc distance of 90 . 56 feet; thence southerly
along said center line being a curve to the left
having a radius of 270 . 00 feet tangent to the last
described curve, an arc distance of 139 . 64 feet;
thence South 04 degrees 10 minutes 28 seconds West,
along said center line, a distance of 106 . 54 feet;
thence southerly along said center line being a
curve to the left having a radius of 270. 00 feet
tangent to the last described course, an arc
distance of 19 . 79 feet; thence South 00 degrees 01
minutes 28 seconds East, along said center line
tangent to the last described curve, a distance of
196 . 77 feet; thence South 89 degrees 58 minutes 32
seconds West, along said center line, a distance of
47 . 05 feet; thence North 21 degrees 34 minutes 23

19 . 14 feet; thence westerly along said center line
being a curve to the right having a radius of 288 . 02
feet, an arc distance of 164 . 07 feet; thence
westerly along said center being a curve to the left
having a radius of 505 . 00 feet tangent to the last
described curve, an arc distance of 177 . 95 feet;
thence westerly along said center line being a curve
to the right having a radius of 288 . 02 feet tangent
to the last described curve, an arc distance of
141 . 73 feet; thence South 17 degrees 04 minutes 47
seconds West, along said center line, a distance of
18. 13 feet; thence southwesterly along said center
line being a curve to the left having a radius of
167 . 50 feet, an arc distance of 183 . 86 feet; thence
South 87 degrees 14 minutes 49 seconds West, along
said center line, a distance of 112 . 76 feet; thence
North 85 degrees 18 minutes 05 seconds West, along
said center line, a distance of 1055 . 51 feet for the
terminus of said center line; the side lines of said
described easement lying between said southerly
right of way line of U. S. Route 20 bypass (Federal
Aid Route 6 ) and the terminus of said described
easement. Also a 10 . 00 foot wide ComEd and
Ameritech easement over part of said Southwest
Quarter of Section 23, Township and Range aforesaid,
the center line of said easement described as
follows : Beginning at aforesaid Point "A" ; thence
North 77 degrees 22 minutes 16 seconds West, along
said center line, a distance of 33 . 20 feet for the
terminus of said center line. The side lines of
said described easement lying between aforesaid
Point "A" and the terminus of said described
easement. All being situated in the City of Elgin,
Kane County, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to cause the Plat of Easement to be
recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Kane
County, Illinois .
